I've always been a fan of rock music, has I listen to it since a child, mostly by my family's influence. Probably not that glorious of an introduction, but it doesn't matter anyway.Īnyways what is your story on how you became a metalhead? But I give credit for BVB and Aephanemer for being the first bands to get me into hard rock/metal music in general.

My taste today is rather varied with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Blind Guardian, Exodus, Amon Amarth, Cannibal Corpse, Dream Theater, etc. I wasn't as much of a metalhead back then as I was now, as I mostly listened to Michael Jackson music at the time, although now I have much more knowledge in heavy metal. That was when I started liking metal music. I eventually encountered my first actual metal song, which is Unstoppable by Aephanemer, an underground melodic death metal band from France. I didn't try to find anything like emo or punk-ish I searched for the heavier stuff. I listened to "Shattered God," and I thought it was pretty lit, so I decided to search up more related bands. One of those bands in my feed, Black Veil Brides, however, did seem to grab my attention, so I decided to give a shot on one of their songs on Youtube. There were far too many emo and scene bands in my feed, and I was extremely annoyed.

Back when Google Plus was still alive, I commonly went to my feed 24/7. For me, well, I enjoyed hard rock and metal music three years ago back in my high school freshman year.
